TELUS Health CBT is an internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) program that you can access from any device, anytime and anywhere. Cognitive behavioural therapy is one of the most effective forms of therapy. You will learn to understand, recognize, and change your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours so you can start feeling better.
During your program, you will work through activities and exercises that lead to meaningful changes in your mindset. You are not alone – CBT provides ongoing support from a dedicated therapist.
How CBT works
1.
Complete a brief self-assessment.
Answer questions about how you’re feeling and what’s on your mind (5-10 minutes). Choose your therapist and select a time to have your first appointment.
2.
Get started
Download the app or use the web version to get familiar with CBT and set some goals.
3.
Connect with your therapist
Connect by phone or video to meet your therapist. At this point, your therapist will recommend the program that’s right for you.
4.
Move through the program
Work through the program activities, videos, and exercises to help you learn about yourself and develop new strategies for coping with difficult situations.
5.
Check in regularly with your therapist
You are not alone on your mental health journey. Your dedicated therapist will be there every step of the way to support and encourage you. You can reach out by messaging your therapist and they will check-in with you regularly as well. You decide on how frequently you message your therapist. In addition, check-ins are available by phone or video. You and your therapist will decide together what works best for you.
